Measure 26-211: Library tax
Measure 26-211: Library tax

Measure 26-211 would increase property taxes to raise $387 million for Multnomah County Libraries. We love libraries. We usually love funding libraries. But not when they are overrun by stabbers and all but unusable by the public.
The last thing we need to do is spend a bunch of money on making libraries more attractive to Stabtown’s stabbiest residents. If you’d said, “We want to raise taxes so that we can make libraries safe again and cut back on the stench. Libraries will no longer be daytime shelters for stabbers,” we could have gotten behind that measure.
